ESPN doesn’t think he’s one of the top 50 players in college basketball.
This morning, the Worldwide Leader released their rankings of the Top 50 players in college basketball and Knox is nowhere to be seen. In fact, only one Kentucky player made the list: Hamidou Diallo at No. 37. Meanwhile, FIVE Duke players made the cut: Grayson Allen (6), Marvin Bagley III (9), Wendell Carter (33), Gary Trent Jr. (43), and Trevon Duval (44). Narrative!
Even after a handful of exhibitions, I’m not sure how you leave Knox off this list. Bagley, Duval, Deandre Ayton (12), Collin Sexton (14), and Mohamed Bamba (21) made the list, so clearly, freshmen were eligible.
