Kentucky has pulled off another win over Louisville by getting three-star athlete Akeem Hayes to choose them over their in-state rival. The 2018 prospect from Hollywood, Fla. announced his decision on Twitter.
“First off, I would like to thank God for giving me the talent to play this game at the next level; without him this would have never been possible,” Hayes wrote. “I would also like to thank the Louisville coaching staff for the relationship we have built in the last couple of months. I also want to say that I love the relationship the Kentucky coaching staff and I have built in these last couple of month of my recruiting process, but after talking it over with my family I’ve decided to flip my commitment to the University of Kentucky.
