The Bat Cats headed south to Gainesville for a three game set against the #5 ranked Gators and they will be going for the series sweep today at 12:30. On Friday night the 'Cats pitching staff combined to shutout the Gators 3-0. Zack Brown worked seven shutout innings scattering five hits, four of them singles, and striking out six. Brown extended his scoreless streak to 15 and 1/3 innings.
Yesterday, the 'Cats jumped out to a 4-0 lead but had to lean on back-to-back Home runs by Greg Fettes and Connor Heady to allow enough rope to keep the Wildcats from hanging themselves in the 9th inning as Florida made a furious comeback attempt.
