Malik Newman, one of the most exciting players to come through high school in a long time, announced his commitment to Mississippi State on Friday. The move came as a shock to none as news leaked earlier in the week (thanks Gary Parrish!) of his plans to to play basketball for the Bulldogs.
On Friday, Malik Newman added another accomplishment to his lengthy resume. If all goes as expected, the Callaway star would become the highest-rated player to sign, commit and play for the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Newman’s recruitment was a long, drawn-out process that lasted for more than two years.
