KENNESAW, Ga. – The No. 13 Kent State women's golf team won its second straight tournament, taking the title at the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate at the Pinetree Country Club with a score of 12-over par 876.
The Flashes pulled out a narrow win in taking down four top-50 nationally ranked teams. Kent State finished one stroke ahead of No. 24 Purdue and two ahead of 35th ranked Texas Tech. The rest of the field finished nine strokes back or farther.
Individually, Kent State freshman Pimnipa Panthong was named the tournament co-champion alongside Purdue's August Kim.
