KENT: Ohio has stopped Kent State’s momentum before.
In January, the Golden Flashes were fresh off a victories over Texas (63-58) and Ball State (100-90) when a trip to Athens to play the Bobcats resulted in an 87-65 shellacking in a game that wasn’t even that close.
That loss ignited a four-game spiral for the Flashes (16-12, 8-7 Mid-American Conference), who have now won three consecutive games — 76-72 over Miami, 70-67 at Akron and 77-69 at Buffalo.
Now Kent State has a chance to avenge that earlier loss to the Bobcats when the teams meet at 7 p.
