Flashes Fall Short on the Road to the Bobcats

Athens, OH - The Kent State men's basketball team (13-13, 6-7 MAC) returned to action Tuesday evening (Feb.20) on the road falling to the Ohio Bobcats 57-63. This was Ohio's first season sweep against Kent since 2013.

The Flashes shot 31.7 percent from the field, 75 percent from the charity stripe, and recorded eight triples. The Bobcats barely outshot the Flashes shooting 35.4 percent from the field, 34.8 percent from the three, and 87.5 percent from the foul line. Kent State collected 38 boards to the Bobcats 36 and recorded 22 points inside the paint.

Mike Beklja started the game with a triple to get the game started but it wouldn't take the Bobcats long to match that three.
