KENT, Ohio — Kent State senior Kelsey Bittinger has been named to the 2017 Academic All-District™ Volleyball First Team for District 5, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced Thursday (Nov. 16) afternoon.
The 2016 Academic All-America® Third Team honoree is the first Golden Flash to be a three-time Academic All-District™ selection and will once again advance to the national ballot.
An applied physics major with a 3.95 cumulative grade point average, the Strongsville, Ohio native was named as one of 10 finalists for the 2017 Senior CLASS Award, which honors the attributes of senior student-athletes in community, classroom, character and competition, last week (click HERE to vote for Kelsey).
