Wildcats get second chance to beat No. 2 Baylor

Usually one to ponder his answer for a moment before addressing a question from the media, Kansas State women’s basketball coach Jeff Mittie immediately knew the answer to one in particular Monday afternoon.

He stood on the second floor of the K-State practice facility in Manhattan, two days away from a rematch with No. 2 Baylor at Bramlage Coliseum and responded swiftly to a question of whether the Bears share any similarities with No. 1 UConn, a team his Wildcats lost to Dec. 11.

“They might shoot 30 3s — UConn’s capable of doing that if that’s what you give them,” Mittie said.
