Wesley Iwundu drafted by Magic in second round of NBA Draft

The former Kansas State forward was drafted by the Orlando Magic with the 33rd overall pick in the second round in the NBA Draft Thursday night, becoming the first Wildcat to be drafted since Michael Beasley and Bill Walker went in the first and second rounds, respectively, in 2008.

Iwundu, at 6-foot-7, looks to be able to translate his game to the NBA. A two-way player whose wingspan stretches seven feet, Iwundu flashed prowess on both sides of the ball at K-State. He’ll be able to guard both shooting guards and small forwards at the next level.
