Kansas State President Richard Myers hasn’t talked specifics about any sport with new athletic director Gene Taylor, but he’s already got one item for the agenda: giving men’s basketball coach Bruce Weber a contract extension.
Myers said Monday the decision to retain Weber as coach was carried out by interim athletic director Laird Veatch under his direction. It came after lengthy discussion that began before previous AD John Currie left the school for a job at Tennessee.
