Wade ups game for Wildcats

Dean Wade decided it was time for a change.

After the K-State sophomore was held scoreless in a 69-68 loss to Maryland, he knew he had to switch up his game.

Up to that point Wade had focused on scoring, and the returns weren’t very satisfying.

Coming off a 19-point, nine-rebound performance against Prairie View A&M on Tuesday, K-State coach Bruce Weber said the changes are productive for both Wade and the Wildcats. K-State plays Washington State in the Sprint Center at 7 p.m. on Saturday on Fox Sports Kansas City.

“The big thing (for Wade) is play hard and rebound, and let the other stuff come,” Weber said.
