Underwood feels familiarity in return trip to Manhattan

For more than six years, Brad Underwood was used to turning right.

Taking a certain route, that’s the way to the Kansas State locker room in the bowels of Bramlage Coliseum, and as an assistant coach at K-State from 2006-12, Underwood had developed a habit. After all, he had donned the Wildcat uniform some 20 years prior in his playing days.

But nothing is permanent. Underwood left the job after the 2011-12 campaign and joined former K-State head coach Frank Martin at South Carolina, accepting a post as Martin’s top assistant.
