K-State has won all three previous games in the series, all of which have been in Manhattan, and the first of which came in 2007. The game also marks Band Day at the Bill.
Kansas State started the season with a loss on the road at Stanford but bounced back after a bye week to thump the Florida Atlantic Owls. Missouri State beat up on Southwestern College, an NAIA school in Winfield, 57-0 and defeated a pretty bad Murray State team, 28-22.
