K-State still in hunt for NCAA Tournament bid

NORMAN, Okla. — The world seems to be collapsing around the Kansas State basketball team.

The Wildcats have lost seven of their past nine games, four in a row at home, and their NCAA Tournament prospects have diminished.

There are problems, but all is not lost. With three games remaining in the regular season plus the Big 12 tournament, K-State (17-11, 6-9 Big 12) can still play its way into the NCAA field.

“We have to stay together,” coach Bruce Weber, seated between seniors D.J. Johnson and Wesley Iwundu, said Wednesday after a home loss to Oklahoma State.
