K-State offensive line shows progress in spring practice

MANHATTAN — As Kansas State’s spring football practice concludes this week, there has been progress in rebuilding the offensive line. Perhaps not as quickly as coach Bill Snyder would like, but plugging in four new starters around center Dalton Risner wasn’t expected to be a quick fix.

Risner, a sophomore who is the lone returning starter, is the only lineman with a job locked up as K-State wraps up on-field practices with the Purple-White Spring Game at 1:10 p.m. Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

Numerous players are in the mix for the guard and tackle spots, from veteran guards Terale Johnson and Will Ash to junior college transfer Abdul Beecham at tackle to redshirt freshmen including Scott Frantz, Evan Curl, Adam Holtorf and Tyler Mitchell.
