Ertz likely starting; Jones back at RB

Kansas State football coach Bill Snyder wasn’t ready to name his starting quarterback on Monday — making everyone wait until Tuesday afternoon — but all signs point to it being Jesse Ertz.

The sophomore took the bulk of the snaps during the Wildcats’ recent Fan Appreciation Day practice, with Joe Hubener and Alex Delton working mostly with the No. 2 offense. Junior college transfer Jonathan Banks, who only arrived in July, is likely behind both Hubener and Delton.

Ertz, who also started with the No. 1 unit during last April’s spring game, attempted no passes last season.
