Kevin Haskin: Oregon, the aggressor, becomes latest team to ruin Final Four bid for KU

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Losses in the Elite Eight are far too common for Bill Self and Kansas.

Yet each disappointment always presents puzzling developments and the stunning 74-60 setback Saturday against Oregon was no different.

The top-seeded Jayhawks entered the Midwest Regional final playing better than any team in the NCAA Tournament, a winner by 30 points on average in their first three games.

They were playing down the road in Sprint Center before a heavily partisan crowd that was incredibly amped at the start with KU coming off a blowout over Big Ten champion Purdue.
