Josh Jackson's conditioning, competitiveness as advertised, KU basketball coach Bill Self says

LAWRENCE — Friday's early-morning boot camp session was coming to a close for the Kansas men's basketball team, and all that remained was a series of beat-the-clock-style sprints across the Allen Fieldhouse practice court.

Point guard Frank Mason was among the leaders in the pack in drills to that point and he was closing strong, the fastest finisher through the first five sets. With only two sprint sets left in the 3-5-7-9-7-5-3 format, KU coach Bill Self stood at center court, yelling for the team to go all out. He challenged the players to see who was the fastest.
