Tim Brown of Shawnee has a new favorite Royals player.
Royals rookie Cam Gallagher clubbed a grand slam in the sixth inning on Monday against the A’s, triggering a $25,000 prize for Brown as part of the club’s Sonic Slam inning contest.

The homer gave the Royals a 6-1 lead as they opened a three-game series at the Oakland Coliseum. Gallagher recorded his first career homer while notching his second major-league hit.
