In his last outing, Salazar went seven strong innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out 10 against the Twins. In five starts since being activated from the DL on June 22, he is 2-0 with a 1.39 ERA and 46 strikeouts.
Hammel gave up a season-high three homers against the A's on Aug. 15 but didn't get a decision, allowing four runs in six innings. The righty has pitched into the sixth inning in all but one of his 14 starts since the beginning of June.
