Omaha lost their first game in El Paso, 7-4.
The Storm Chasers took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, which began with a Whit Merrifield leadoff double (one of his three hits). Merrifield scored on a ground out. Brett Eibner followed with a two-run home run.
Unfortunately, Andy Ferguson could not hold the lead, as he allowed three runs in the bottom of the first on a two out, three-run homer. Ferguson took the loss, as he allowed five runs on five hits and a walk over just three innings.
