Kansas City Royals Smash Detroit 15-7 Led By Kendrys Morales

The Kansas City Royals rang up 20 hits and 15 runs on their way to a 15-7 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Thursday night at Kauffman Stadium. The win sealed the KC Royals third consecutive over-.500 season with an 82-51 record, and a 2-1 series victory over the Tigers.

With the Blue Jays inactive, and the Twins losing 6-4 to the White Sox, the Kansas City Royals took a six-game lead for the American League’s best record and a 13 game lead in the Central.

The night did not start well for the KC Royals with the Tigers scoring three runs off starter Edinson Volquez in the first inning.
