The Royals will place outfielder Alex Gordon on the 15-day disabled list with a broken scaphoid bone following a collision with Mike Moustakas on Sunday against Chicago. He is expected be out 3-4 weeks. It is the same wrist he injured back in 2014, that eventually required surgery. To replace him on the roster, the Royals have recalled third baseman Cheslor Cuthbert from AAA Omaha. Cuthbert was sent down on Saturday when Mike Moustakas returned from the disabled list.
