Jaguars Insider: Offensive missteps vs. Bengals were very telling

Five telling plays from the Jaguars’ putrid first-half performance against Cincinnati (trailed 14-3 in an eventual 26-21 victory):

1. Jaguars offense: First-and-10 from own 48-yard line.

The fourth play of the game. The Jaguars gained 11 yards over their first three plays. They tried to set up a screen pass to running back T.J. Yeldon.

Right guard A.J. Cann shoved defensive tackle Domata Peko to the ground, but right into Yeldon’s path, who was tripped up and fell to one knee. That disrupted the play’s timing — quarterback Blake Bortles had to double-pump the throw to Yeldon, who caught it three yards behind the line of scrimmage.
