Analysis: Jaguars defense has struggled a bit in preseason

The Jaguars’ starting defense has looked shaky through the first three preseason games.

The defense has faced the opponent’s starting quarterback in eight drives. The results are three touchdowns, one field goal, four punts and no turnovers or sacks.

That’s not a good sign.

However, quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning and Matthew Stafford are an accomplished group. Does that explain the lack of production?

“It absolutely means something,” Jaguars middle linebacker Paul Posluszny said. “We’ve faced three elite quarterbacks. We’ll only see one or two guys that are better than those throughout the whole year.
