2016 NFL Draft: Baltimore Ravens wanted to trade up for Jalen Ramsey

When the Dallas Cowboys were on the clock at fourth overall it was widely speculated they could take Jalen Ramsey, thereby securing a player that many think was the best in the 2016 NFL Draft.

But the Cowboys went another direction and drafted running back Ezekiel Elliott instead. In fact, they wanted Elliott so badly that they turned down trade overtures from the Baltimore Ravens, who were hoping to move up to fourth overall to take Ramsey. The news comes from the Baltimore Ravens team site and from Adam Schefter on Twitter.

Dallas also considered trading 4th overall pick to Baltimore for Ravens’ 1 and 4, but Cowboys balked at end, nervous they wouldn’t get RB.
