Only in Philadelphia would a former mayor and former Pennsylvania governor weigh in on the Eagles signing of Tim Tebow.
But that’s what Ed Rendell, who has served as a Philadelphia mayor and Pennsylvania governor, did this week.
Rendell, a sports fan who has appeared on the Eagles post game show, endorsed the signing of Tebow in an article he wrote for the Philadelphia Daily News.
“One intangible that the so-called experts often overlook is one I think that makes for truly great quarterbacks – leadership. Tebow might not be the best passer in the NFL, or anywhere close to it, but his leadership can produce victories.
