Bortles impressed by rookies heading into training camp

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Monday marks the start of training camp with rookies, first-year players and quarterbacks reconvening at EverBank Field.

Among those players is starting quarterback Blake Bortles who, at just 23-years-old, is now shifting into a leadership role that involves mentoring his younger teammates.

Bortles, who played in 14 games (13 starts) last season, is one of the most experienced players in the locker room right now, as most veterans aren't set to report to camp until Thursday. Over the next couple of days, Bortles will be leading the way for his fellow quarterbacks and the rookies who are working to adjust to life in the NFL.
