Emmanuel Malou, the headliner of Iowa State’s 2016 men’s basketball recruiting class, plans to transfer from Yuba College in California to DMACC this semester, he told the Ames Tribune.
The 6-foot-9 forward will not play basketball at DMACC while concentrating on academics as he works to ensure his eligibility for ISU next fall.
“I’m moving there because I need to focus more on the books so I can graduate on time,” Malou told the Ames Tribune.
Malou’s eligibility is a complicated web given he is an Australian national who attended high school in both Australia and the U.
