Men’s Basketball: Cyclones lose to Texas Tech in overtime

Four Cyclone players scored in double figures on Wednesday night, but it was not enough to overcome Texas Tech.

The Iowa State men’s basketball team lost to the Red Raiders, 85-82, in overtime on Wednesday night at the United Supermarkets Arena.

The Cyclones led 78-72 with 2 minutes, 27 seconds left in regulation. Texas Tech went on a 6-0 run to force overtime, and turned that into an 13-4 run to ultimately win.

Deonte Burton led ISU with 20 points, while Abdel Nader scored 19, but fouled out late in the second half. Georges Niang and Monte Morris scored 18 and 12, respectively.
