A couple months ago, Iowa State received word that USC graduate transfer offensive lineman Khaliel Rodgers would not be making it to campus as previously planned. All of a sudden, the Cyclone OL had lost a piece that figured to get significant playing time in 2017.
But today, the effect of that loss was softened as ISU secured the commitment of Josh Knipfel, an offensive lineman out of Iowa Western Community College that will have four years to play three in Ames.
Iowa State has picked up a late 2017 commitment from Iowa Western offensive lineman Josh Knipfel.
