John Davis streaked down the field. Nigel Tribune tried staying with him stride for stride. Davis wiggled free, hauling in a 33-yard reception.
It set up the 21-yard game-winning field goal for Texas with three seconds left. It’s a moment Tribune wishes he could have back. It’s one he can’t forget.
“I really went home and cried,” Tribune said. “It was something I look back on.”
After a self-described subpar season, where Tribune gave up too many big plays, he’s spent the off-season trying to right his wrongs so that his play leaves the opposition shaken.
