Breaking: Jadda Buckley elects to end her Iowa State career

Just hours after Iowa State’s 65-85 loss to Syracuse in the opening round of the NCAA tournament, the women’s basketball program issued a release stating that Jadda Buckley will not return to the team next season.

The redshirt junior, who averaged over 34 minutes and nearly 14 points per game this season, could’ve played one more year for the Cyclones.

Buckley thanked Cyclone Nation for the support over the last four years and said she “decided to start a new chapter of my life beyond basketball.”

“I understand and support Jadda’s decision to end her playing career,” said head coach Bill Fennelly.
