Iowa State now knows its opponents for its upcoming trip to Spain.
The Cyclones men’s basketball team will take on the Venezuelan National team on Aug. 12 in Madrid, the Valencia All Stars on Aug. 14 and the Barcelona All Stars on Aug. 17 and 19, it was announced Monday.
ISU leaves for the foreign trip, which is allowed under NCAA rules once every four years, on Aug. 10. The Cylones’ last foreign trip came in 2011 when they went to Italy. Since then, ISU has reached a school-record four-straight NCAA tournaments. The trip will also be new coach Steve Prohm’s first opportunity to lead his team against outside competition.
