Iowa State has run some of the most effective offenses in college basketball over the last few years. It is no surprise that Fred Hoiberg’s staff watches a lot of NBA playoff basketball to pull ideas for the Cyclones. Hoiberg is coming off of open-heart surgery, but he seems to be recovering well, based on a text chain posted on Twitter by assistant coach Charlie Henry. The texts also show how the ISU staff communicates while watching NBA games and identifying plays that they may want to run.
