There aren’t a lot of highlights from a game that featured just 21 points and ended 14-7. The Iowa Hawkeyes still managed to escape with their third victory on the young season, though. It was a grind the whole way, however a few key players stepped up to give Iowa the extra boost they needed to down Rutgers.
Coming off a game against North Dakota State where not many things went right, Iowa knew they had to be better. While there are still concerns heading into their matchup against Northwestern, many players got back on track.
