CONCACAF Watch: Governing by committee smart, but more good decisions needed

The CONCACAF Executive Committee will govern by group, but a new group of officials is needed for real change to happen, writes Jon Arnold.

The CONCACAF Executive Committee made a wise decision Monday that hopefully will lead to a chain reaction of smart calls from the people running CONCACAF.

Needing a president after the arrest of interim president Alfredo Hawit on corruption charges, the man who took the job after previous president Jeffrey Webb was arrested on corruption charges (neither have been convicted of any crimes), the ExCo decided to appoint no president at all and run the confederation as a group, advising General Secretary Ted Howard until the general congress in May 2016 in Mexico City.
