Orlando City has acquired Dom Dwyer from Sporting Kansas City in a blockbuster trade, the MLS teams announced Tuesday.

The newly-capped United States national team striker lands with the Lions in a deal that could land Sporting KC $1.6 million in allocation money, a new record for MLS.

Sporting KC will receive $400,000 in general allocation in the deal, $500,000 in targeted allocation money and another $700,000 of future allocation money based on performance incentives in the trade.
