Former Indianapolis Colts and Ball State University player Eric Patterson was shot to death Saturday in Florida, according to media reports.
The Tampa Bay Times reported that Patterson was killed about 5 a.m. in a home in Tampa.
A spokesman for the Tampa Police Department told IndyStar on Monday morning that they could not yet confirm the victim's identity. The Times cited unnamed relatives who confirmed that Patterson was the victim.
