Joe Reitz Announces Retirement After Seven Seasons With Hometown Colts

INDIANAPOLIS – Another player from the pre-Chuck Pagano era is entering retirement.

On Tuesday morning, Fishers native Joe Reitz announced the 2016 season would be his last after seven years playing for the Indianapolis Colts.

Since joining the Colts practice squad in 2010, Reitz would go on to play in 73 career games for his hometown team.

The ever-versatile Reitz started 44 times at four different positions up front (everywhere but center).

“I’m privileged to have had the opportunity to coach Joe for five seasons here in Indianapolis,” head coach Chuck Pagano said in a team release.
