The Indianapolis Colts announced today that they have signed free agent wideout Tyler Rutenbeck. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Washington Redskins out of Dubuque, Rutenbeck was recently released on May 18, 2015.
However, he was a standout for the Dubuque Spartans, recording 66 receptions for 918 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns and receiving First Team All-Iowa Conference honors as a senior. In 4 seasons at Dubuque, Rutenbeck had 163 career receptions for 2,715 receiving yards and an all-time school record of 42 receiving touchdowns. He’s one of the university’s all-time leading receivers, as he also ranks third in receiving yards and 4th in receptions.
