Colts Notebook: Indy native Doyle emerging as offensive threat

INDIANAPOLIS — Tight end Jack Doyle has been a pleasant early season surprise for the Colts.

The Indianapolis native ranks second on the team with 13 receptions, third with 137 yards and first with two touchdown catches through the three regular season games. He's already set a career high for yards and tied his career-best touchdown total. He needs five more receptions to tie his career high in that category.

With wide receiver Donte Moncrief out Sunday, Indianapolis used more two tight-end sets against the Chargers. Doyle took advantage with six catches for 65 yards — both single-game career highs.
