INDIANAPOLIS — Jack Doyle is still working to put the toughest season of his career behind him.

Doyle, who played in just six games due to hip and kidney injuries last year, has undergone surgery on his hip and the Colts hope he will be ready for the start of training camp.

The veteran tight end first suffered the hip injury against Washington, but he was able to return during the middle of the season before taking a hit against Miami that lacerated his kidney, forced him to undergo surgery and ended his season.
