SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Sycamore All-American David Timlin gave a valiant effort in the first round of the 1500-meter run at the USA Track & Field Championships, but ended up falling short of making finals in a loaded field of competition on Friday night.
His time of 3:46.38 came in typical Timlin fashion, as he found himself at the back of the pack through the first three laps. Going into the final lap in dead last, he managed to take it up a notch and run a 56.65 split to improve his position by three spots, finishing ninth in his heat and 29th overall.
