DALLAS – Dallas Baptist shutout Indiana State for just the fourth time this season in the series finale at Horner Ballpark, 1-0 Sunday afternoon. With the win, DBU secured the series sweep over the Sycamores.
It was a pitcher's duel all the way through as offense came at a premium for both teams as MD Johnson stymied the Sycamore (18-19, 4-5 MVC) offense to a tune of just one hit in seven innings of work on the mound for the Patriots.
It wasn't until the fifth inning that either team was able to break into the scoring column as DBU (24-15, 6-3 MVC) capitalized on a Jameson Hannah leadoff walk.
