TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – In a defensive battle for much of the night, IUPUI used a 15-5 third quarter to rally past Indiana State, 45-35, Wednesday night at the Hulman Center.
Junior forward Wendi Bibbins led the way for the Sycamores (3-4) with eight points, seven rebounds and an assist. Ashley Taia added eight points including a pair of 3-pointers while redshirt freshman McKenzy Telfair scored six for ISU.
Indiana State had no problem getting to the free throw line on the night, attempting 15, but connected on just four in the game for a season low 26.
