Terre Haute, Ind.—Indiana State women’s soccer will opened Missouri Valley Conference play on Sept. 23 at 8:00 p.m. against the Illinois State Redbirds.
The Sycamores fell to the Redbirds by a score of 4-0 in what proved to be a long 90 minute battle. ISU struggled to find the back of the net as they recorded 13 shots with nine on goal. Gaelen Stejbach led this offensive effort with three shots.
Indiana State now has a 4-7 record and is 0-1 in Valley play.
ISU will now hop back on the bus and make their way to Fort Wayne, Ind.
