When they understand the particular stat and how to change it, it often becomes a priority to the team.
Frank Vogel and the Indiana Pacers may not use the player impact estimate (PIE) statistic featured on NBA.com as their main point of emphasis, but that doesn’t mean their not using other statistics and analytics in their decision-making.
