Reigning Coach of the Year Steve Kerr will return from an injury-related absence that has kept him off the sidelines all year to begin coaching the Golden State Warriors again tonight against the Indiana Pacers, according to David Aldridge of TNT.

Perhaps the most remarkable aspect about the Warriors remarkable, record-chasing season this year is that they are doing it with a backup coach. This hasn’t been talked about nearly enough and it is testament both to Luke Walton’s acumen and Kerr’s ability to prepare this team for greatness before the year even began.
